HST Archive to move on the 22.6.2012 - Invitation to public beta test.

Published: 11 Jun 2012

At the end of 2010 the previous operator of the European Hubble Space Telescope Archive, the ST-ECF closed its doors. (see http://www.stecf.org/)

During 2011 and the beginning of this year, plans were implemented to migrate the European HST Archive from the ESO archive facilities to ESA's European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC), Spain, where most of ESA's Space Science Archives are located and operated from.

The European Hubble Space Telescope Archive at ESAC is now officially set to open on the 22.6.2012. After that date all current HST archive pages and services will be available from the new location.

A Beta version of the archive search interface is now available to the public at http://archives.esac.esa.int/hst/
You are hereby cordially invited to try the archive out at its new location. Hopefully you should find the experience to be very familiar.

If you nevertheless should encounter any problems, please report them to hsthelp@sciops.esa.int
