User's Guide

This section gives an overview of the Astronomical Catalog Library interface. For details, see the man pages in the reference section.

The basic library interface is implemented in C++ and consists of a collection of classes for dealing with astronomical catalogs and image servers. C and Tcl interfaces are also provided for convenience as well as Itcl user interface classes for browsing catalogs and catalog hierarchies. Each interface is described separately below.
