Pilot Public Survey - Request Handler

The Data Request Form for the Pilot Public Survey provides access to images and catalogues from the Pilot Public Surveys. See the copyright notices.

To request EIS data products you have to fill in the register/request form below. Bulk requests for images or catalogs will be handled off-line. In this case the filled form will be sent to the ESO Science Archive Group.

Register Section

Please complete all fields in the form, this will help us to justify further support for services like this. The data will be used for communication upon and delivery of the requested data and for statistical purposes.

Data Request Section

Right now only bulk data can be requested, e.g. all catalogs of a given Survey/Object. Single catalogs or frames can not be requested. You may select any combination in the two select boxes below, but please be aware of the data volume of the image data (> 250 images in total, each having either 280 MB or 500 MB). You may select your prefered media type as well, but depending on the requested volume of data we may propose another one. The total data volume adds up to about 100 GB, thus FTP, CDs and standard DATs or EXABYTES are not an option for requesting a lot of data! In such a case we can currently only offer DLT-7000 tapes and requests will be handled individually on a case by case basis.

Bulk Data: Select a combination of items in both boxes.
You may choose more than one, but please be aware of the size of the datasets. Currently we have a limit of 2GB for any normal request. Requests exceeding this limit will be treated specially (and will take longer). Requests for image data will usually go on tape media.
