Description

The catalogue is based on the Palomar Sky Survey Atlas. No definite limit according to the magnitude could be set, but apparently all galaxies brighter than magnitude 15.0 are included. The zones correspond to the Palomar Atlas and are numerated from the equator to the north pole from 0 to 15, and correspondingly as negative to the south. The fields in zone are numerated in order of increasing right ascension. The names of the objects are of the form +XX-YY-ZZZ , where: The coordinates refer to the epoch of 1950.0 and were measured only for identification. The magnitudes were estimated to +-1 mag. More exact estimates are given when available.
