FTP: How long will the service of my request last?

The service time will depend on the size of a request and the size of the queue currently pending. Here we can also distinguish two categories:

  • FTP/LAN requests will typically contain few datasets/observations and will be given high priority. The service time in this case will be between a few minutes and a few hours regardless of the time of the day/week day.

  • Medium requests will most likely involve lots of data. The processing time might take up to a few days and the postal shipment another few days.
