Dear User of the ESO/ST-ECF Science Archive Facility

Please find on this CD-ROM the list of the files you requested from the
ESO/ST-ECF archive. The CD-ROM complies with the ISO9660 standard.

This disk has been tested and proven to work with the following
platforms:

SunOS, Solaris, HP-UX, Linux, DOS, MacOS. It will probably work with
other operating systems as well.


The structure of this CD-ROM is as follows


o HST archive:

   <dsname>/<ext>.FIT


   where:
   - <dsname> is the dataset name (8 characters IPPPSSOO form)
   - <ext>  original STScI extension: for a complete list see:
	http://archive.eso.org/archive/hst/hst_science_files.html 

o ESO archive:

   ESO/<PPPC9999>/NTT/<AA>/<ttt_nnn>.FIT  (on DOS/MacOS)
   eso/<pppc9999>/ntt/<aa>/<ttt_nnn>.fit  (on unix systems)

   where:
   - <PPPC9999> is the program identification in the form:
		PeriodCategoryNumber 
   - <AA>       is an artificial number which had to be introduced for
		this CD-ROM to comply with the ISO 9660 standard.
   - <ttt_nnn>  is the file identifier in the form: tapenum_filenum

	The original file identifier in the archive database can be
        reconstructed using the following method:
	
		ntt/ttt/nnn.fits
