HST Query-by-IUE-Class Access Gateway

HST spectrographs. Class dictionary based on that of IUE.

Get FOS or GHRS datasets given a IUE class of object(s) observed.
Access is via a list of classes.
Browse the IUE classes (and get to the corresponding FOS or GHRS datasets).
Access is via the class number or (part of) name, entered as free text.
Browse HST observations with IUE classes.
Access is provided by IUE class and/or HST target name and/or HST dataset.

Rationale and background information.

Summary: The IUE class scheme (2-digit, from 00 to 99) has been extended to take account of additional objects. The class is determined for FOS or GHRS datasets in different ways: free text terms in the proposal title, proposal abstract, or proposal keywords; or through matching coordinates with IUE coordinates, and picking up the IUE class. A number of classes may be associated with a dataset.
